Information Collection and Use
We collect and use your information to provide our Services and improve them over time.
Information Collected Upon Registration: When you create or reconfigure a TenStat account, you provide some personal information, such as your name, username, password, and email address. Some of this information, for example, your name and/or organisation name, is available to registered members only, whilst some Services, such as uploading tenant information do not require registration.
TenStat and its associates are committed to respecting and protecting your privacy. We've structured our web sites so that, in general, you can visit TenStat on the Web without identifying yourself or revealing any personal information.
Once you choose to provide us personally identifiable information (any information by which you can be identified), you can be assured that it will only be used to support your relationship with TenStat.
This statement regarding the privacy of the personally identifiable information you provide online covers the four foundation principles of fair information: Awareness, Choice, Accuracy & Access, and Security.
Awareness
TenStat provides this Online Privacy Statement to make you aware of our privacy policy, practices and of the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To make this notice easy to find, we make it available on our homepage and selected communication pages.
What we Collect
On our TenStat web site, you can subscribe to our services, make requests, and register to receive materials and alerts. The types of personal information collected at these pages are name, contact and billing information, transaction, and credit card information.
In order to tailor our subsequent communications to you and continuously improve our products and services (including registration), we may also ask you to provide us with information regarding your demographics and more detailed contact preferences.
TenStat makes use of a cookie to track your preferences on our site. A cookie is a small piece of information sent by a web server to a web browser, which enables the server to collect information back from the browser. The TenStat.com site uses cookies to identify users and personalise their visit by customising web pages for them. For this reason, some pages may not display correctly if you have disabled cookies on your browser. By modifying your browser preferences, you have the choice to accept all cookies, to be notified when a cookie is set, or to reject all cookies.
How We Use it
TenStat uses your information to better understand your needs and provide you with better service. Specifically, we use your information to contact you should a tenant dispute a listing. Without divulging your information to the tenant, we investigate the dispute directly with you, securing additional information to substantiate the listing before reporting back to the tenant disputing the listing, in addition, to complete a transaction, to communicate back to you, to update you on service and benefits, and to personalise our web site for you. Credit card numbers are used only for payment processing and are not retained for other purposes. Our credit card and monthly debit order payments are done directly with MyGate, so the credit card details are not ever sent to TenStat.
From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research or to provide you with marketing information we think would be of particular interest. At a minimum, we will always give you the opportunity to unsubscribe to the receiving of such direct communication or market research contact.

Unless we have your permission or are required by law, we will only share the personal data you provide online with other third party entities as described in "how we use it". Such entities and/or business partners, are governed by our privacy policies with respect to the use of this data and are bound by the appropriate confidentiality agreements.
Choice
TenStat will not use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without first letting you know and offering you a choice. As previously stated, we will also provide you the opportunity to let us know if you do not wish to receive unsolicited materials from us and we will do everything we can to honour such requests.
